1. Buy a motorcycle.
2. Pick up boys.*
3. Pick up chicks.
4. Live in New York City.
5. Dye my hair some odd color.
6. Go urban exploring.

Late, but I had no internet this weekend! So it's a good defense.

But I did shoot a movie about a bush monster! And did other assorted things, some of them not so legal. And got no sleep, so am very sleepy now.

Does anyone know anything about going into criminal investigation*? I'm considering that, except I don't know where the heck to start.
EDIT: So here's an incomplete list of all the vocations I've considered today.
Detective/Criminal Investigator
TV News Anchor
TV Reporter Person
Something FBI
Something CIA
Something acting
Civilian jobs in the military
To Do List
Teach myself computer geek stuff. Alternately, bribe a CS friend.
Work out.
Find internships.
Figure out my schedule.
Figure out life.
Learn Chinese well.
*Not crime scene investigation. Criminal investigation. Detectiving and all that jazz.

New Year's Eve, guys! Heading to the City and doing I have no idea what in a bit, but this will probably be my best year-to-year transition yet. But first, have a meme!

Tash, I think the recording cut off in the middle of my answer to your question, so I'm answering here. I was like "uhh idk" at the time of the recording, but while I was talking, I realized that pretty much all of my favorite characters are badass in some way. Firo from Baccano, Reed brothers from FE7, Haruhi from Haruhi Suzumiya, Kamina from TTGL, Enjolras from Les Mis, Godot from PW, Faramir from LotR, Pullo and Vorenus and Antony and Atia from Rome. They're also almost all male, it seems.
And a total tangent, but I gotta despair a bit here. The Gaslight Anthem's playing at LA the day before I get there and at SF two days after I leave for school. It's horrible.

Been back home for a week or two now! I've just been feeling lazy as heck lately, since school doesn't start for another month. I have survived on biking and eating red bean popsicles, since killing my enemies and drinking their blood isn't really my thing. It's too overdone, and it's not subtle enough. Anyway, since I don't really feel like writing a real entry, have memes! I think I took both from
lythdan?
In other news, Daisy Owl is a really cute webcomic about two quirky kids who have been raised by an owl and a bear. It gives a surprisingly insightful look into the world today, and it's just massive amounts of heartwarming.
Ask a question for me to answer in a voice post!
I'm not allowed to read them until I'm recording the post itself.
Comment and I will comment back with a picture of the fictional character that most reminds me of you. Then post the same in your journal.

Okay, guys, it's time for RP Discussion Time! Today, we'll be talking about swearing.
What do you do for characters who don't swear in canon, but you can extrapolate from the facts that they would be the type of person to swear?
Usually, I use how much they swear in canon as a general guideline than a rule. For characters such as Flonne (Disgaea), it's pretty obvious that they would never ever ever swear. Those are easy. Harry Potter, however, does swear a little bit, but not really all that much in canon. After all, it's a book series originally marketed towards children. Still, he's a teenage boy who doesn't seem that much of a prude. It's pretty reasonable to toss in some "tossers" and "bloody wankers" and "can't be arsed" if he's mad, in my opinion. (Hermione, on the other hand, is a different story.)
I'm not exactly sure what to do for Klavier Gavin (Ace Attorney). On one hand, he doesn't swear at all in canon. On the other, he's constantly putting on a show. He wouldn't ever swear in front of his brother or in public, that's for sure. He also doesn't throw out swear words regularly. For him, it'd have to be a moment where he's with someone he doesn't need to play a role for, and one where he's actually angry/unguarded enough to not be watching his tongue that much. For a man whose entire profession is based on words, that'd be a really rare moment to find. (Okay, apparently I am kinda sure.)
Case study four is Elle Bishop (Heroes). She's far from being a pottymouth, but she almost threw out a "motherf-----" before being cut off by another character, and she's used "bitch" and "damn." So, for her, swearing is more of a "whatever" thing. If it fits, use it. If it doesn't, it doesn't.
Anyway, guys, what are your thoughts on this?

Guess what guess what I'm seventeen! It's not very exciting, but still.
What is sad is that I had totally forgotten about my birthday until I got a bunch of LJ notifications in my e-mail about so-and-so's birthday is coming up. Then I looked closer and was like, "Huh, those are my journals."

My life for the past couple of weeks, in one paragraph:
I saw a solar eclipse! Which I'll probably write about sometime because that was exciting. Once I get the pictures off my camera. It was total eclipse, lasting for almost five minutes, and it was so cool. And Heroes is now my new fandom of interest, even if the seasons are getting worse. I think I have a celebrity crush on Zachary Quinto. Also, whoever had the notion about romantic country roads was so, so wrong. Country roads are made of dirt. Dirt + rain = gross mud. I heard a squelching noise. Finally I bought myself another lighter.
So now that I have the internet consistently for a week or so, I need to tag people and actually finish fics that I started! Go go go me.

Hi. I usually don't do this sort of meme these days, but. My self-esteem has been going down the drain lately. I haven't replied to anyone else's when the meme went around my f-list, so if you have one, link it to me and I'll respond.
One little compliment can make you feel amazing. So give me a compliment, anything in the entire world, even that my shoelaces are pretty. Put this in your journal. And once you get some comments, put that entry in a memory or tag and when you are feeling down, just go to that entry and this will remind you how great you are. Comments are going to be screened so none of you will know if I'm über-popular who gets over 100 comments on this or a total loser who doesn't get any.

There are boys here.
. . . Be back later.
Okay, real entry now. I've always worried about overusing German when RPing Klavier. How many "ja"s were excessive, and should I throw in the "Danke" and other German words he doesn't use in game? So I just threw several into a thread.
Except in China, I've realized that I always say my "yeah"s and "no"s and "thanks"s and all other common words in English, even when the rest of my sentence is Chinese. It's automatic. And all my expletives are in English, too, even though I learned a bunch of Chinese ones yesterday. (As an aside, the guy I learned them from seemed so embarrassed that he actually knew these words, and it was really cute.) So it's basically all the words that I don't need to think about are in English.
If Klavier is actually German, my headcanon states that he's lived in the US or UK before he went to the US for good. Maybe a year abroad or something, so he's actually had the opportunity to use the language. It's possible that he's a genius at languages, but while he's exceptionally smart, he never struck me as the languages type. If he's an American-born German and is just a poser, then it works for him to use his random German more often.
In other news, I need a belt. I can't run because my pants start falling off, and it's really awkward. And I got a pair of fob glasses! They're the kind with the thick frames.

I am really surprised that I have LJ here. I tried looking up Youtube, but it wouldn't let me. Falun Gong's blocked, too, but I can find Tiananmen. In any case, I'm making full use of LJ while I have it.
Let me just say that customs is a royal pain. While going through the Hong Kong - Shenzhen border, we had to fill out the same form twice (the wonders of bureaucracy). Then, when the Health officials saw that we were from the US, they pulled us over and made us wait around for five minutes while they took our temperature to make sure we didn't have swine flu.
And I feel of average height here! Which is exciting. The realization came to me when I was eating out and noticed that the tables was a good inch or so lower than what I was used to, and I could look over some people's heads.
I can't read half the stuff on the internet here because I can't read Chinese, so I'm just clicking buttons based on where I remember them being.

Hey hey guess what.
I'm posting this from Hong Kong, which doesn't have the great China internet filter.
Summary of My Trip, So Far
Number of sneezes: 34
Number of times almost perished from the humidity: 2
Number of frivolous items bought: 0
Number of cute guys seen: 3
Number of omggorgeous guys seen: 1
Number of relatives seen: 0 (will change today)
Number of Chinese words learned: 2
Yesterday, we went to this mountain peak, which was kinda cool -- the ride up was far more exciting than the view, though. The cable car went at outrageous angles, and that was the fun bit. Did you know that Hong Kong has a Times Square, too? (I'm not asking you, Ivy.) It reminded me a lot of Taiwan's Ximending, or however you spell it, since it was basically a bunch of expensive shops in one area. The subways here are pretty boss. They're really efficient and are as fast as whoa.
Thing is, it doesn't really feel like I'm in a different culture. That may be because we're traveling with family friends (only until today, thank goodness), so I'm in a familiar setting. (And they're honestly a bit annoying.) It feels a bit like home, just more city and more Asian and more humid. That probably will change once we stay with relatives and we're immersed in the culture, rather than just going to all the tourist attractions and speaking English.
Speaking of English, there are a lot of British people here. The accents. ♥
Anyway, here's to my onion router working once I get to the mainland. I'm leaving Hong Kong today.

I think that's everything. If I have internet, I won't have LJ at most of my computers due to China blocking it. E-mail me if you need anything, though I probably won't get it till a week afterwards.

Aaaah, the leaked ASoIaF pilot makes me happy. They stay really faithful to the book, and some of the scenes are so great, man. Jaime Lannister's lines are much love, even the ones that weren't taken from the book. And Catelyn and Cersei tension is always fun.
And all the description! I can imagine this in my head, and now I want to see this so badly even more. Casting information's going up for fifteen of the characters or so, so it's in the works!
"The things I do for love."
edit: ahahaha yes I think I have a Daryan freaking Crescend for

Oh, God. What the hell was that.
Okay, so when I went out, everything was normal. Sent a text to this boy who'd left me his number, and was quite sad when he didn't respond. Well, it had only been an hour or so, so I thought that it wasn't really much. Maybe he was busy.
When I checked again, I had no signal. And I wasn't the only one without a signal. I was in the middle of the farmer's market, so you had all these people with a bag of fruits in one arm staring at their cell phones. (It was kinda trippy, admittedly.)
And then I saw a gray thing right when I got out of the car. And then it lurched at me. I managed to slam it with the car door and run inside. I could have sworn that it was my neighbor, though. ._.
Someone's at the door. If it's zombies, I am going to smack myself, because that is way too obvious at this point.

I had some insightful entry on here, but then something happened to my power, so I lost it. At least the power's back on, right? Friend just texted me some crap about zombies, but come on. Zombies, seriously? I mean, I know I kid that I'd die like that if a zombie apocalypse were ever to happen, but it's not going to happen.
My light's been flickering. Maybe I need to change the bulb. Or just stop using the lightbulb at 10 in the morning. Good job at being a power saver, self. Then again, I already have this really bad habit of leaving lights on behind me, no matter how much my mom yells about it.
Anyway, there's not really much point to this entry, but I felt that I should put something here in place of my insightful one. I'm heading out soon, though. Maybe there's going to be something interesting outside.

Graduated.
It doesn't really feel like anything until you think about it. Even then, the sadness is less of what you're feeling and more of what you're not feeling. It feels so melodramatic to say that there's a void, but it feels so strange knowing that I won't see these people every day, that I won't have them to hug and flirt with and care for so readily.
(Love you, CAT. Even if you'll never see this.)
Then there's everyone else, the people I've barely met and barely know. I would have liked to know them better, but it was too late before I realized how many people in our class I didn't know.
Everything feels so mixed.
This kid told me he'd IM me every single day. It was adorable. ♥
